Sometimes light appears when we decide to return. "Twilight at Dawn" is born from that return. Made on canvas using mixed media with acrylic, graphite, watercolor, marker, and relief paste, this work creates sails and textures that evoke an atmosphere suspended between memory and reverie. Twilight at Dawn is born from the act of returning: returning to the canvas to discover an emotion that remained hidden beneath the first layers of paint. It speaks of that moment when darkness begins to recede and light appears as a possibility of transformation. The female figure ceases to be a portrait to become a symbol of memory, presence, and renewal. This work is part of the "Women: Absences and Presences" series, an investigation into female identity, vulnerability, and inner strength. The work is mounted on a stretcher and ready to hang.
